Lover jams to clear bills over detoothing

A lover in Kampala recently refused to pay Restaurant bills after he invited his girl friend and she came along side with 18 Other friends.  The lover referred to it as detoothing, and he vehemently jammed to clear restauranr bills.

Witnesses say it was supposed to be a memorable evening for the love birds as the man invited his girl friend in a luxurious restaurant to celebrate her birthday.

The girl shockingly came along with 18 other friends. Not bothered, the man ordered for his food and the girls did give their orders, too.

After the feasting, the man paid his bill and that of his girl friend only, causing serious problem at the restaurant. Those who had not finished their shares choked on the food because they became nervous like an antelope that has sniffed a lion at a distance.

Mbu the situation was intolerable, the lover’s date fumed and almost burst into frames as she reacted to her lover’s behaviour.

It later became clear that the girls were detoothers. In Uganda a gold digger is referred to as a detoother ; one who cultivates a relationship in the hope of acquiring wealth. Girls in Kampala have acquired skills in this vice termed as detoothing.

However, like the Eneke bird says: “Men have learned to shoot without missing their mark and I have learned to fly without perching on a twig.”  When detoother proved bold to rob gullible lovers, they also became bold and tell it into their faces.

Now, the Kampala lover has since become a subject of discussion as well as a teaching aid to most victims of detoothing. The Drone Media has established that most men in Kampala are suffering locally, they are being detoothed left and right.  Girls have introduced another terminology in their quest of detoothing. The term is “kwetega,” loosely translated as setting a bait!
