Big Eye bashed for saying Kenzo is selfish

Singer Big Eye has been bashed by Eddy Kenzo fans for saying Eddy Kenzo is selfish.
He said Kenzo failed to win the Grammy Awards with Matt B because he doesn’t give other artistes connections
“It’s unfortunate that my neighbor didn’t succeed at Grammy Awards but myself what i think is, you never know if it was Big Eye, Azawi, Daddy Andre, Apass, Fik Fameica, Spice Diana, Sheebah, Lydia Jazmine, Rema,” he said on Facebook page
Big eye said if Kenzo wasn’t selfish and greedy, there would be so many international awards in Uganda
“May be so many international awards would have been in Uganda. But the Nigga kept all international contacts & Connections for himself for like 9years now. So some people don’t deserve to use the motto of “FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY” coz inside their hearts there is “FOR GOD AND MY SELF”. Hope am not wrong to term it as being selfish. I have said this on 06.02.2023,” he ended his post
But Kenzo fans and followers have responded to his claims
Buule Gabriel Chrispus,a journalist said that it’s about contacts as he presumes
“It is not about contacts as you presume, none of the mentioned artiste is even an Academy member and they haven’t even worked with and Academy member to qualify their works for submission,” he responded
He said Kenzo can’t be accused for the failure of an industry where people like Mayanja Ibrahim assume that a song like indicator has anything to do with music.
“Above all, Grammy awards honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard of Big Eyes fragile ego or the number of times you attend burials. Ugandans need to see you prosper in the area of music by attaining artistic achievement and technical proficiency,” he added
Nick Melody, a fan and a follower of Eddy Kenzo says it’s not about contacts but rather hard work which has seen Kenzo succeed in getting international awards
“It’s out of his hard work. Big eye work hard success does not come on a silver plate. I really don’t think Eddy Kenzo has got the best music but at least I acknowledge his hard work. He has been in position to maintain his bar high,” he posted on Big Eye’s post
