PO Officer attempts to kill Kasanda CAO

The news streaming in from Kasanda District indicates that a Procurement Officer has been arrested over  attempted murder of a CAO. 

According to a news brief from Kasanda Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), which he sent to a WhatsApp group,  the Procurement Officer, reportedly wanted to chop him into pieces. The Drone Media reproduces the news brirf verbatim:

Good evenning family

I would like to make you know that yesterday I was almost assaulted by one of my staff members for refusing to recommend him for promotion on transfer of Service from Kassanda to Kyotera District,
He thereafter retreated to pick a panga from his house, but I was notified before he could harm me.

He is currently under police custody and is expected to be produced in court tomorrow 06/Feb.2023.
This is a very errant Officer, whom I found on interdiction because of misconduct, I took him through the due process and had him reinstated, but like the saying goes, old habits die hard, he kept on with his misbehaviour, writing letters to several offices that he is trying to clean up the mess in the entity, including aiding in publishing the Procurement audit report in the daily monitor, I cautioned him but to no avail.

On Wednesday last week he brought in his application forms for transfer of Service on promotion to Kyotera District, I reviewed it but remained in a state of dilemma on how to recommend a problem to another entity.

In addition with these frequent transfers I would one day find myself in Kyotera incase he succeeded in the interviews, relatedly promotions must be based on merit which is derived from past records and character, so I declined and he decided to move to his house and returned with that machete, he had informed the PAS that he wanted to show me that he is mad by going to buy a panga.

Matter was reported to police and he was arrested, so the matter is now with the state. Otherwise I am still alive and kicking though going through deep thoughts of what would have been of my family.
