Speaker Anita Annet Among in court over torture

Matovu Francis aka Butto who herein is referred to as appellant has a reason to smile. The Appeal he filed against the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among and Attorney General has been forwarded to judges so that hearing can begin.

According to the documents obtained by The Drone Media, a one Ndagire Rebecca, an officer of the High Court attached to Civil Division of High Court affirmed and stated that on 5th December at 2:00pm she went to Kanjokya Street, Magna Building and served the 2nd respondent (Anita Annet Among) who is represented by Magna Advocates.

That was after she had introduced herself to the receptionist and her reason for being there. That the receptionist acknowledged receipt and let her free with assigned copy.

Ndagire had visited Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, where she reportedly found two gentlemen and a lady, of which one of the two gentlemen directed her to the person who received and stamped return copy. He then took the return to another office who in turn signed the copy.

Following the above procedure and evidence, the registrar today forwarded the case file so that hearing can begin.

However, Speaker Anita Annet Among and her lawyers were conspicuously absent as well as Attorney General.

It should be remembered that Butto filed a case of torture which was masterminded by Anita Annet Among, who misled security agents who are represented by Attorney General. Butto stated that he was kidnapped and tortured by CMI on orders of Anita Annet Among. He also lost his money that was in his car when the security agents kidnapped him. He actually lost sh90m, which he had received from a car sale. Bdsides, he was held beyond 48 hours and a non gazetted place. This is a case of Human Rights abuse and it is being followed diligently.
