where were the spies of the state when the Zombo rebels plotted?

Houses burnt in Zombo

According to the New vision, March 9th, 2020, Zombo was attacked by rebels. The government owned daily claims security authorities confirmed the attackers were rebels. The RDC reportedly revealed that the group has been training in the Kiryandongo forest.

Security agencies said Uganda Homeland Liberation Force (UHLF), a new rebel group is led by one, Howard Upenjuru of Zombo district.

Now, the question that lingers on peoples’ mind is; “why did the government/security wait for the group to attack innocent souls? This explanation about the Zombo rebels is disturbing especially after your own people have been killed in this senseless attack. The role of the army is to defend citizens, but see, it failed to defend the Zombo residents.

Ugandans need to pray for the people of Zombo; they are victims of circumstances. Individuals who seek earthly treasures inflict suffering on innocent souls.

Well, an organised insurgency attacked a military facility and killed Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF)  soldiers. The Drone Media gathers that long after the attack civilians were killed and scores arrested.

Eye witness’s account indicate there were many dead bodies. It was actually a massacre of sorts.

The initial version of the story was that a civilian gang armed with arrows attacked and overran the military facility, killed scores of soldiers and burnt soldiers’ houses.

This was followed by a two days heavy fighting in Eregu hills. However, the fighting between arrow armed insurgents and a military backed by gunships and hi-tech guns, is really amazing.

What is true is that the military facility was attacked. The question is, who attacked it and why?  Good thing is that the RDC answered this query. The attackers were rebels who have been training in Kiryandongo forest. Another question rises, ” why didn’t the UPDF kill them while in Kiryandongo forest?

The problem with insurgency innocent souls suffer a lot, The Drone Media gathers that Red Cross has no access to the rounded up civilians. This seems to be a replica of the Kasese incident that saw Lt. Gen. Elweru promoted.
