Installs 1st archedecon, inaugrates Kikangahara archedeconry in Kibaale District.

The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, Samuel Kahuma has installed Ven George Hope Kiiza Amooti as the first archedecon to serve at the newly established Kikangahara archedeconry in Kibaale District.

The Bishop who also presided over the inaugration of the archedeconry Sunday afternoon, called upon Christians to complement prayers with hard work if they are to prosper.

The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah who was chief guest called upon the church to use their platforms to preach the gospel of prosperity saying government has set up all the necessary infrastructure for everyone to develop.

Nabbanja also commissioned a residence for the archedecon and led contribution drive for it’s completion. Over 38 million shillings was raised.

Kikangahara archedeconry was curved from Kakumiro archedeconry on 1st January 2022.

Kikangahara archedeconry comprises of 5 parishes that include Kikangahara, Kisalizi, Marongo, Kabasekende, Nyamarunda and Bujogoro all located in Kibaale District.

The function was coordinated by the Kibaale District woman MP Noeline Basemera Kisembo and Buyanja East MP Dr. Emely Kugonza.

Minister Matia Kasaija ,the finance Minister called called leaders to preach the gospel of peace and encourage their Congress to be hard working emphasising that hard work is the key priority to over come poverty.

Since the land in Kibaale is fertile, residents should be involved in agriculture and farming.

A cross section of MPs, Local leaders, the clergy, technical officers among others graced the occasion. Prime Minister Nabanja who who blessed the occasion asked the Congress to always fear God by loving each other and leaving peacefully.

” Your neighbor is a reflection of God and when you love your neighbour your praising God. Live together peacefully and it will bring peace and harmony within the area. ” Said by Nabanja.
