Abandoned baby was rescued from Constitutional Square

A team of Police officers on normal patrol have recovered an abandoned baby girl believed to be 3 weeks old at City Square in Kampala City , investigations are ongoing with a view of identifying her parents .
Many Ugandans held their views towards this act, some are positive and advisory, but others need re-dress.
Yusuf Kaggwa says, “The mother of this baby is both bad and good. She couldn’t take care of the baby but she has decided to place her in a place she can easily find someone to pick her up. She opted not to throw the baby in a pit latrine. Prayers to the baby and the mum that May God make it easier for her whatever the situation that forced her into this action.”
Professor Patience Belle says, “It’s only in my country where authorities are unaware of maternal depression and puerperal psychosis, please ladies and gentlemen, Even in Hospitals some mothers run mad after delivery, it may be due to a stressful time during pregnancy or painful labor , some neglect their babies, beat them, deny them breast it’s a mental illness that needs support, it’s not hate for the baby, but abnormal mental state of the mother, about mental health, support and don’t blame.”
Magriezier Zac says, “That’s what a country like Uganda is characterized of, people can’t afford looking after and feeding their children, there is no plan for the citizens, the leaders only think of themselves, and this is getting worse, its not the only incident, there are many incidents which the Uganda Police Force doesn’t disclose to the media and to the public, its only some of the men in Uniform that refused to be contaminated by the state leaders and officials that are helping out Ugandans silently and in the right way, so please police check your hearts, come back to the normal way of service, we can’t afford any more damage to our country.”
