Bar brawls have become death-traps

Singer Mowzey Radio prophesied the death caused by “bar brawls,” and it was what caused his death. In other words, his prophesy came to pass. Radio sang, “Ekibara cho” at the height of their music peak in Ange Noir. Unfortunately, he was killed in Entebbe.  Today, the bar brawls have become death-traps. Below are some recent shocking bar brawl deaths:

Magiddu Mugwanya

According to reports from witnesses at Kitunzi-Lungujja -based Kacwampale Bar; Kirunda, who always boasts of working for State House, had an affair with the owner of the Kacwampale Bar (Kiosk Bar) next to Sampro Hotel in Kitunzi.  Kirunda always reveled at the Kacwampale Bar that was infested with Sisha Smoking damsels, who attracted Magiddu Maugwanya (deceased) to the bar.

and a third person believed to be a police officer; reportedly participated in the murder of  Magidu Mugwanya, 46, a grandson of the former premier of Buganda, Stanislaus Mugwanya, who was shot dead on July 15 as he was allegedly trying to save a woman, who was being dragged into a car by two officers and the bailiff.

Mowzey Radio

His death on 1 February 2018 devastated fans as well as friends.  Radio, real name Moses Ssekibogo, died just hours after Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni contributed sh36m  towards his medical bills.

Radio was allegedly beaten into a coma at a popular hangout spot in Entebbe. He was treated in hospital for injuries he sustained and died 10 days later.

Godfrey Wamala, a.k. a Troy the bar bouncer accused of killing him was found guilty of manslaughter but acquitted of murder.  He is serving his sentence.

Johnny Ahimbisibwe

In the wee hours of the night of August 2, 2015, a fight between two love rivals ensued in Kampala City’s Club Guvnor.

The fight was between John Ahimbisibwe alias Jonnie and Ivan Kamyuka. Kamyuka and his wife Nima Nyarwaka were confronted by Ahimbisibwe, his wife’s ex-lover, as they were approaching the corridor leading to the washrooms of the night club. Johnie was alleged stabbed by a broken bottle, he bled to death.
