Bobi Wine’s Sway Club rape case bounces back

Hon Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is in hot soup after his rape case at Sway Club bounces back.

According to information available, Bobi Wine on November 1, 2008 raped an 18 year old damsel in the parking lot of the defunct Kampala Road based Sway Club.

The rape case was filed as CBR5568/08 at Central Police Station (CPS) Kampala. According to police sources, the suspect (Bobi Wine) was released on police bond but he never returned.

Unfortunately, this case was never closed. A source tells The Drone Media that it could not be closed because it was still under investigation.

Another source intimated that now that Bobi Wine’s behaviour is so wanting, they are under obligations to revisit his files as far as his criminal background is concerned.

This Sway Club belonged to Sudhir Rupaleria’s son the one Rajiv, but it became a hub/den of evil spirits until it lost customers and closed business. It had become a battle field of sorts, you cannot count how many times gun shots wrecked the environs.

Well, this rape in the parking lot was much pronounced in the entertainment circles, but journalists were reportedly compromised and the story never saw the light of the day.

An independent source revealed that Bobi Wine went to CPS with hordes of journalists, who included Moses Opobo of then Sunday Vision and others who boasted of belonging to Firebase. That is why the story never saw the light of the day.

The police officer who handled the case was reportedly compromised, but had no powers to close the case.

Back to Sway Club, it is still remembered for two incidents: one is this parking lot rape and when the brat owner slapped a top musician. There was going to be disaster because the gang of the musician sought permission to discipline the rogue, but the top musician said, ” his father is my great buddy he won’t like it.”
