Why Buddo?? Why were 20 innocent Children Killed?

Background Info

In 2017 around October I made an allegation bluntly that Birungi Grace Simpson was behind the murder of 20 innocent kids at Buddo Junior.

I had been approached with a confession by a suspect that claimed to have set the school on fire and killed innocent kids, I got scared with this kind of information ,it sounded too good to be true, I investigated the story to establish the motive.

Writing about this was not going to return our innocent kids nor could it give me any satisfaction but get justice of these lovely kids and their parents ,became my ultimate goal.

On the Night of 14th April 2008 at around 1900GMT a fire was started at the girls hostel in Buddo Junior that killed 20 girls and two adults.

The then Police Inspector General, General Kale Kayihura said in a statement that Police is treating the case as a homicide since the hostel doors were locked from the outside. This case died a natural death on inception, there were no clues to this homicide but police went ahead and arrested the former Head Master and Matron.

Investigators at Uganda Police claimed that Kayongo had a motive to burn the school since he had just been transferred from the school, indeed it was only three days since his transfer was announced. Later Police could not substantiate this claim with any evidence so Kayongo was charged with criminal negligence.

The real Motive:

The Head Master Kayongo William was also the proprietor of Berkeley College a school that was neighboring Movit Factory, the two directors Grace Birungi and Kayongo William had been fighting for a while, Movit wanted to expand his business empire while Kayongo wanted to keep his private school. Other directors of the school were willing to sell their interests but the majority shareholder was Kayongo.

Movit Products was setup in 1997 by Mr Birungi Simpson to produce cosmetic products for Ugandans, its initial factory and location was in Zana -Bunamwaya off Entebbe Road, those familiar to Movit factory and its background ,will remember that it started small on a small piece of land, then as business grew Birungi bought off his neighbors except one who refused to sell land to him and this was Kayongo.

Berkeley College owners refused to sell him land, they were three owners but the main owner was William Kayongo, others George William Ssemivule head master of Mengo Secondary school and co-director Edith Namusisi Nabugo were hesitant but not as complicated as William Kayongo.

Birungi then resolved to dump wastes close to the school causing a very bad smell, the Motive was to get teachers and students run away from classes but this only caused a big fight of words between the two.

A Seemingly smart but stupid Birungi then went on hired two guards belonging to Berkeley for a mission to burn down Berkeley college . These guards had been working for Movit previously, the two guards are Julius and Byamukama, another suspect was lumu.

William Kayongo in a bid to boost his school with new buildings, he and his partners borrowed money from Barclays Bank, it’s was in the rage of 1.7 billion shillings. The school had around 800 students at this time and their target was 1500. They borrowed another loan from bank of Baroda of 192 million shillings and 60 million from Hauder Gaundong, a Chinese company.

Buddo involvement.

William Kayongo also doubled as the head master of Buddo Junior school as explained above, our prime suspect knew that burning Berkeley as he had earlier planned would directly link him to the fire hence face criminal charges, he then decided to go for the juicy plan B which was considered safe yet causing problems and arrest for Kayongo.

Lumu, Julius and Byamukama executed plan B and set the school on fire killing 20 innocent kids. They were paid off by Birungi.

After Kayongo going to prison, he was fighting cases here and there losing money as if he was in love with a munyarwanda queen that squirts milk. Banks came knocking on his door, Barclays Bank attached his school Berkeley and Baroda went for his home, and the Chinese put him in civil prison for failure to pay. I forgot to tell you he was released on Court bail on the Buddo case.

Police Involvement

In early 2017 one of the suspects came out and told his story to two gentlemen(names temporary withheld) in Kampala, they managed to get this information to police and the matter was handled by flying squad’s asp Namusoke, Namusoke then gave DC Abel Kitagenda a “job”(deal), Abel had previously worked with ASP Fred Tumuhirwe Who infact is a Muko to Birungi Simposkn aka Movit, so Fred quickly connected Abel to Birungi to save him.

The new mission was to eliminate a suspect called Lumu who claimed to have participated in the Buddo Homicide, it appeared Abel was giving himself the mission. Meanwhile the two guys went to Journalists to have this story posted in papers. Birungi being an advertiser knows all media houses, they (media) approached him with this story and he settled them with money, this is exactly how the two guys plus Lumu were offered another 100m shilling to keep quiet.

Journalists, Lawyers and well wishers have picked money from this guy only for forgetting information.

Current Case File:

Investigations into this Homicide have been reopened, 10 people are being investigated on various charges connected to this Homicide, it’s not clear who is protecting Birungi from prosecution but there seems to be no will from Government to proceed with this case.

Grace Simpson Birungi is likely going to win this battle simply because government is not interested in prosecuting the goon.
Parents and relatives should form a group to voice their concerns, I’m willing to provide them with free information that can be used in private prosecution of Birungi Grace aka Movit.
