Burundi Rebels planned to kill President Museveni

Had it not been the French Intelligences, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni would be dead today, according to Tom Voltaire Okwalinga aka TVO.

TVO is a social media account holder who has had running battles with Uganda’s security over issues of sedition and other liable offences. However, he is a great whistle blower.

Well, according to TVO, President Museveni  was to be killed on 1rst June, 2018 as attends COMESA summit in Bujumbura, Burundi.

The Ugandan legitimate ruler would have died the way Juvenal Habyarimana, died two decades ago.

As God loves Uganda, it did not happen.  According to TVO, the French Intelligence Services, informed the president of the impending ugly plot and he planned otherwise.

Mbu Museveni’s plane was to be shot down on that day as he approached the Bujumbura airport to attend the 20th COMESA summit.

This was all planned by the Burundian rebels who operate across  the Bujumbura airport. The rebels had reportedly acquired surface to air missiles capable of bringing down Uganda’s president’s plane.

The plot was unearthed by the French Intelligence, who promptly informed President Museveni.

This is why the Ugandan president cancelled his travel to Bujumbura last week.  The cancellation was at the last ninute.

Not surprising, other leaders in the region also cancelled it, which prompted the organisers to reschedule it to Lusaka, Zambia, next month.

It should be remembered that late Juvenal Habyarimana was shot in similar manner while he returned from a meeting from Tanzania. He died together with Burundian president Ndadaye.

Had the Burundian rebels succeeded in killing the Uganda’s president, the area would have officially become the field of blood. The area is feared for genocide, which was sparked off by the killing of the two presidents and this would have become a repeated experience.

This region needs careful planning as far as politics are concerned. Had this ugly plan succeeded, even the perpetrators would not like it. It would go the Somalia way.
