Speke Apartments do not provide security for clients- Don Zella

Nalongo Don Zella Sheila is a slay jajja who has had time to confuse the Kampalans with her few dollars she made on Kyeyo stint in Canada.

Unfortunately, while she relaxed at Speke Apartment for Christmas Holidays ( read vacation as she prefer to call it) her room was broken into and the thugs went away with dollars, which they later confessed was fake dollars.

Don Zella warns, “Be careful where you choose to stay while in Uganda on a vacation.” She continues that on 25th December, 2020 as she was on her vacation & her day was shutdown when thieves broke into her  apartment at Speke Apartment in broad day light.

“I had gone to my family friends’ Christmas dinner in Mityana when  the so called Jeremy broke into my Apartment .
He had rented next to me using a fake identity card claiming he was from Kenya, Kisumu. This is  what he gave to the receptionists at Speke Apartment. Surprisingly, the management of Speke  Apartment never took any extra measures to check the identification if it was fake or not until the incident happened,” Don Zella explains.

IDon Zella says on the day they broke into her room she received a disturbing phone call from her little sister who had at the time stayed at the Apartment to baby sit the kids.  She told her that the Apartment had been broken into as she took kids for swimming.  Don Zella says she  immediately called the receptionist to get the truth.

After calling the receptionist it was confirmed that she had been robbed.  As she reached Kampala from Mityana; she was showed a footage of the thieves that is when she recognized  one of the suspects was at her daughter’s party which she had hosted on 24th December, 2020.

She remembered the thief  who was introduced by her close friend Kim Swagger ( is one of Jose Chameleone’s hang ons, who is known as smart wire in Kampala speke). Mbu Kim Swagger had told her he was a neighbor, but had just met him in the lobby. He told him he was a son of  Late Major Gen. Oyite Ojok.

Don Zella says because  she trusted Kim Swagger she did not question the neighbor . She did not even pay attention to ask much but she remembers the thief told her he was from Canada that he was also there at the Apartment on a vacation.

She was not bothered she let them enjoy the party as she partied with other guests and kids, but at 12 midnight she let the kids go in their room as adults continued on with the night .

To cut the long story short Don Zella had never met the thieves but she remembers Jeremy  was at the party. That is why she immediately called Kim Swagger after seeing the footage to ask him how he knew the guy who he had introduced to her in the night. Kim Swagger said he did not know the thug he just met him in the lobby.

Fortunately, Kim Swagger got a phone number of Jeremy and helped even to provide with the pictures they had taken together that night of the party . As they continued to watch the footage then  she  saw her own sister going with Jeremia in his room she was confused as security was insisting she must be knowing him.

Don Zella says she did not know these people; but on 3rd January, 2021 police located Jeremiah in Arua after two weeks of tracking. He was apprehended and brought to Kampala where the crime had happened. As you read this Jeremiah is in Luzira Prison waiting for his trial.  The second suspect was also apprehended in Lira and also brought to Kampala a week later.

” I have been silent but my fans deserve to know these goons used all bloggers to tarnish my name nga banvuma claiming sente zali bichupuli instead of taking blame of the weak security of Speke Apartment . Nebaza police @ Jinja Road and the CID POLICE HEADQUARTERS to have followed my case properly paka wano wetuli I deserve justice and Speke Apartment should take blame for their weak security bandiyilire mbavunana bulagajavu because singa balina security they would have seen  nti something is not right the moment they saw people coming out of my room running with my luggage from my Apartment. ..banjogeledde bingi but mbadde mugumu befula buli kimu even wrote to my embassy which I had already informed before them going there because I had to replace my passports naye am not gona give up,” Don Zella posted on social media. Don Zella says some items recovered from the thief are in the pictures .
