Earthquake hits Turkey – Syria

Powerful earth quake Magnitude 7.4 hit 10 Cities in South Eastern Region.
Buildings continue to collapse due to after shocks.

Turkey’s AFAP emergency authority and the United States Geological Service have reported a new 7.5-magnitude earthquake in southeast Turkey.
The shallow quake hit at 1:24pm four kilometres (2.5 miles) south-east of the town of Ekinozu.

More than 2,300 people have now been confirmed dead in Syria and Turkey.

Latest figures from Turkey’s disaster agency show 1,498 fatalities have been recorded in less than an hour ago that figure was 1,121.

In Syria 810 people have been confirmed dead according to AFP.

Other reports say the death toll across Syria has reached to at least 560 people, according to the government and rescue workers in opposition held areas meaning no accurate report has been given so.

The official news agency SANA, citing the health ministry, said at least 339 people were killed and 1,089 injured in government-controlled areas of the war-torn country.

The White Helmets rescue group said at least 221 were killed and 419 injured in opposition-held areas.
