Hamlet Kabushenga regains his lost properties

Kabushenga Hamlet the Director CHIFCOD regained back all his institutions including Great Lakes regional University and other secondary and primary school.
These are:
1- Great Lakes Regional University.
2- Kirima Community Secondary School.
3- Kirima Parents Primary School.
4- Great Lakes High School.
5- Nyamirama Parents Primary School.
6- Nyakabungo Parents Ps.
7- Rutenga Parents Ptimary School.
These institutions were formally taken over by a group of new directors who were appointed by Dr. Hamlet Kabushenga working with the donors.
The Chairperson of Kirima Limited the legal entity that has been bank rolling CHIFCOD Social Enterprise and Great Lakes Regional University has come out and indicated that they fell out with Dr Hamlet Mbabazi Kabushenga after he failed to account for the funds that had been extended to him to run community projects.
According to a statement issued on Jan 6th 2023 by the Chairperson of Kirima Limited Mr Allan West, the group of donors constitute Kirima Ltd based in United Kingdom, Uganda Development Initiatives based in USA, Protestant Church of Eppingen based in Germany have been funding CHIFCOD Social Enterprise projects in and health for the last 20 years.
Its reported that Dr Kabushenga who had approached the donors received over US 5 million dollars meant to fund the projects to support the social services in Kanungu District.
The donors however later discovered that Dr Kabushenga had misappropriated a colossal sum of funds that were meant for the projects and for the good of the projects especially children and young adults it was a greed that he steps aside to allow the projects to continue.
The statement indicate that it was from this background that Dr Kabushenga and his wife Kellen Kabushenga who were Co directors in the undertaking stepped aside and voluntarily appointed Honest Wilkins Natukwasa and Elenor Nyamishana as Directors as a condition for the Donors to continue funding the projects.
However, they were surprised when Dr Kabushenga turned around and claimed that he was still a Director but the Donors could not accept it since he had failed to account for the money earlier extended to him.
The statement indicate that it was from this state of affairs that prompted Kirima Limited to drag Dr Kabushenga to court where the case is still undergoing.
Dr Hamlet Mbabazi Kabushenga had earlier said that he had resumed the management of CHIFCOD Social Enterprise and Great Lakes Regional University.
He however said that 5Billion Us dollar mentioned can not sustain all the following projects within a period of five years starting from grassroot to where they are now but the above mentioned projects are now 16 years old while the donors talk of misuse of 5Billion Us dollars. ” If I had misused the funds there wouldn’t be any thing at the ground to show case running but thanks to God all the institutions were running smoothly dispute the unavoidable challenges like any other projects” He said.
He further appreciated the donors for the period they have worked with him and assured them that his dreams and visions of the institutions must be fullfilled for development of Kanungu district.
