HOLY COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION SERVICES TO RESUME-CHURCH OF UGANDA

The House of Bishops has issued guidance to all Bishops with important guidelines on how to resume Confirmation and Holy Communion services in their dioceses.

These guidelines were discussed at the 28th January 2021 House of Bishops meeting and developed as a way to maintain Covid SOPs and reduce the possibility of transmitting the coronavirus.

Each Bishop will issue specific guidelines and directions for his diocese. Clergy and church leaders should wait to hear from their Bishop about the implementation of Confirmation and Holy Communion services.

The Archbishop said, “We thank God for the far He has brought us and are grateful for this breakthrough that will enable children to stand before the Bishop and affirm their personal faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and for Christians to be able to partake of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in Holy Communion.”
