Kabaka hurried to Nairobi again

By Angela Nyakuni

Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebii II of Buganda is reportedly sick; he has been hurried to Nairobi, Kenya for meical clean up. Kabaka missed yesterday (Saturday) Masaza Cup final, where Gomba beat Buddu 3-1 to win the tournament.

Buganda’s Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga said that Kabaka Mutebi had travelled to Nairobi to meet a group of friends and partners of the Kingdom.  In his disclaimer, Peter Mayiga said that Kabaka would have loved to attend but he travelled out previously to meet the partners.

Last year, his Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II  was in Nairobi and looked sickly, but the kingdom and Kabaka’s cohorts vehemently denied it.  They said he was not sick as it had earlier been reported. They claimed he was in Kenyan capital Nairobi on a routine check up shortly after celebrating his annual coronation.

Online media outlets deeply entrenched in the monarchy reported that the Kabaka’s medical checkup was being conducted at Karen Hospital in Langata in Nairobi.

A Kingdom official told The Drone Media that Kabaka takes a medical check up on a yearly basis. Like any other dignitaries and responsible leaders the World over, he does this routine whether sick or not. He normally exercises this custom either in Germany or UK.

Mbu that time  he was not able to go to his doctors in Germany or UK because of the prevalence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had caused total lockdown and the ban on air transports.

Kabaka, accordingly reached a deal with the authorities in Uganda to have the medical checkup in Nairobi.  However, there were contradicting reports.  Some statement claimed the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II had paid a courtesy visit to the President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta at State House Nairobi. The statement came out after Ugandans took to the social media, demanding for his whereabouts.

“The two discussed subjects of mutual Interest with President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta among them the central role of culture in regional integration and peaceful communal co-existence.” State House Kenya tweeted
