Kampala buildings owned by pseudo landlords

KAMPALANS INSIST THAT CITY BUILDINGS ARE OWNED BY PSEUDO LANDLORDS

Do you know the Kampala landlords? Owners of buildings! Well, it may be immaterial to ask or answer such questions, but the truth is that the city buzz is dominated by rumours about the owners of these buildings. What is bothering these citizens is the fact that real owners are hiding; they act like they are paupers yet they own this city.

Some of the residents The Uganda Drone talked to were like, A man like Charles Mugabo, owns three buildings, including that one on Sir Apollo Kagwa Road, which was erected in the road reserve, but to our surprise, is still renting!

A second surprise is Hamis Kiggundu of Ham Towers. His fellow traders say they are perplexed. He joined the business from nowhere and what they see are mushrooming towers, yet they do similar business. The traders say that no mathematical or economical equation that can justify Hamis Kiggundu sudden rise.

Besides, the traders ask, where do our politicians put their money? Are you saying they are paupers and they cannot even build a single building in this city? However, while they are still asking such questions; a section of the society buzzes. They actually say but with no evidence that such buildings in town belong to politicians. Such buildings like Twid Plaza, E-Towers, Ham Towers etc belong to various politicians.

Sources in the know intimated that the process of owning or claiming these properties is so complicated, but authorities know who owns what. Secondly, like the adage says, There is no smoke without fire. Wherever the smoke comes there must be fire at least.

Other sources revealed to this publication that whenever such buildings are being erected cars with red number plates visit such building sites at night. This is what brings suspicions among the citizens. If such buildings are genuinely constructed why are the real owners hiding their identities?
