Miss Tourism Uganda 2018-1019 Margaret Kankwanzi wins big

Miss Tourism Uganda 2018-1019 Margaret Kankwanzi receives a picture of a Shoebill from Ugandan Nature Photographer and Managing Director of Snap Uganda Tours Matthias Mugisha at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Thursday 6 December, 2018.

Kankanzi will use the Shoebill picture to create awareness about Uganda’s rich biodiversity at the Miss Tourism International World Finals in Malaysia on 22 December, 2018.

The Shoebill picture was one of the images on display at the Birder’s Paradise Photo Exhibition by Matthias Mugisha showcasing a selection of birds of Uganda at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, UBC, Uganda Wildlife Authority, Nature Uganda, Uganda Tourism Board, Dott Services, Monitor Publications, Rwetera Safari Park, Enganzi Lodge, Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort and Snap Uganda Tours. The exhibition runs up to January 14, 2019.
