PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU TODAY HONORS TOP MOSSAD PERSONNEL

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the annual ceremony to honor outstanding Mossad personnel at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem a few hours ago, and made the following remarks:

“We were in the north today, while we were neutralizing the Hezbollah tunnels, just as we are also methodically doing with Hamas.

Today, we expect a UN decision against Hamas. I hope that it has a majority.

We expect not just condemnation of Hamas, but also the return of our captives and our missing. They are always in our minds, as is every man and woman who leaves on a mission for the country. They are dear to us and we are committed to bringing them home.

Hezbollah has two tools. One is tunnels, and we are getting rid of them. The other weapon is rockets, an imprecise weapon, but they also want precision weapons. This changes the balance of power radically.

According to Hezbollah’s plans, they were already supposed to be equipped with thousands of missiles but right now they only have a few dozen.

The reason that they only have a few dozen is, inter alia, sitting here in this room. It is the combination of the Mossad, the IDF and our entire security system. We are also preventing them from getting that weapon, not absolutely, but to a very impressive extent.

As someone who approves countless operations of yours, I want to tell you that I am proud of you and believe in you and how proud the people of Israel are of you. The Mossad is fantastic and you are fantastic.”
