SIX-MONTH OLD BABY GOES MISSING

The police in Kyenjojo district have launched investigations into the disappearance of a six-month-old baby.
The baby allegedly went missing on Thursday (March 11, 2021) at around 5:00 pm.

“On Thursday at 17:00 at Blue Sky Lodge in Kyenjojo Town Council, there was child-stealing of one Murungi Javira, a male, aged 06 months,” Vincent Twesigye, the Rwenzori regional police spokesperson told media.

The baby was according to police stolen from its mother Moreen Kebisembo a casual worker at Sky Lodge.
Kebisembo in her statement told police that she suspects one Sarah Achiro to have stolen her baby.
Achiro, the suspect is until now still missing.

The police say that a case file number CRB 203/2 has been registered as investigations are ongoing.
“Tracking and tracing of the prime suspect and the child is going on,” Twesigye said, adding one other person has been arrested to aid police in investigations.
