The Buganda Premier Charles Peter Mayiga has eventually been allowed to visit Kooki chiefdom after a stand off Tuesday morning  with soldiers.

It is not clear why earlier on today the army blocked the Kabaka’s man, but it is obvious that soldiers manned the road blocks.

It all started when Mayiga announced an impromptu visit to St. Bernards S.S Manya in Rakai disitrict, Kooki chiefdom which was two weeks ago torched , killing about 11 students.

However the visit is alleged to have angered the Kamuswaga of Kooki accusing Mmengo and Mayiga of taking his chiefdom for granted because Mayiga did not seek Kamuswaga’s clearance.
Kooki moved steadily by calling for deployment saying some Bakooki were against Mayiga’s visit.Mayiga was also slated to over see some farming projects in the area.
A security source told this Media that Mayiga’s advance team was blocked first as it tried to enter Rakai from Masaka district.
The act caused Mayiga who was still having breakfast in Hotel Brovad in Masaka Municipality to charge and ordered his escorts and entourage to advance .
He was however blocked by no nonsense UPDF squad from Kasijagirwa barracks and police advising him to first put his visit to order to avoid any would be blood shade.
After a long security meeting from Brovad , he was allowed to continue with his visit after security in Kooki was put on high alert.
Kooki has for long accused Mengo of disregarding its powers and boundaries.

However Mengo officials said that Kooki ought to know its under Buganda and must therefore not abuse its semi autonomy.
