Moses Kirunda the bailiff who was reportedly behind the Ndeeba Church saga is on run over murder

Moses Kirunda the bailiff who reportedly led the team that destroyed the Ndeeba-Church, is on run over murder, according to police.

Moses Kirunda and Maj Nelson Kyatuka, an officer attached to Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).
and a third person believed to be a police officer; reportedly participated in the murder of  Magidu Mugwanya, 46, a grandson of the former premier of Buganda, Stanislaus Mugwanya, who was shot dead on July 15 as he was allegedly trying to save a woman, who was being dragged into a car by two security personnel and the bailiff.

According to reports from witnesses at Kitunzi-Lungujja -based Kacwampale Bar; Kirunda, who always boasts of working for State House, had an affair with the owner of the Kacwampale Bar (Kiosk Bar) next to Sampro Hotel in Kitunzi.  Kirunda always reveled at the Kacwampale Bar that was infested with Sisha Smoking damsels, who attracted Maugwanya (deceased).

Witnesses say that late Mugwanya also threw in his weight to have an affair with the Kacwampale Bar owner, which did not please the bailiff (Kirunda). The two fornicators clashed over the damsel for sometime until the unfortunate night when Kirunda reportedly called his colleagues, who promptly arrived and shot dead Mugwanya.

Kirunda and the police officer are still on the run while Maj Kyatuka was remanded yesterday  until August 25, 2021. The Defence ministry spokesperson, Brig Flavia Byekwaso, said Kyatuka denied pulling the trigger, but put it on the unknown police officer.

A search was also conducted inside the deceased’s vehicle, which was recovered a few metres from where he was shot.

Yesterday, Monday the General Court Martial in Makindye remanded Maj Nelson Max Kyatuka, 50 attached to counter terrorism at CMI, who was arraigned before the court in Makindye and charged with one count of murder and two counts of failure to protect war materials.

According to the army prosecution, on July, 14, 2021 at Nateete, Kyatuka allegedly shot dead Majid Mugwanya causing his death. Mugwanya was a resident of Busega , Kibumbiro and a businessman in Kampala and Entebbe.
