Although the flop was blamed on various individuals, The Drone Media has dug out the core cause of this misfortune. Well, for years, Balaam Barugahara was the sole promoter of the most popular artistes in Uganda. Jose Chameleone was the Ring Leader among the local popular artistes.
Balaam would pay Jose Chameleone a year ahead of a concert and he would give him upkeeps, but the two would sign agreements. The upkeeps were to keep the singer steady and upright so that nothing would happen to the Chameleone to cause a flop of the upfront paid concert.
Among the things Balaam Barugahara ensured was a rain maker. Of all his concerts, Balaam paid for the rain maker as well as Dickson Okello, the Mighty Crowd Controller, but also the Kiboko Squad Leader.
The rain maker of Nakanyonyi was so popular and would ensure no rain or even a drop fall while the concert was going on. At worst clouds would threaten, but no rain would fall.
Now, the upcoming music promoters played it cool, they thought the rain maker of Nakanyonyi was a mere scarecrow. They overlooked it, they reportedly said, “Balaam and his rain maker and the Kiboko Squad Leader, Dixion Okello were just showbiz tools, they ignored. A source close to promoters intimated to The Drone Meia that the Rain Maker even contacted the promoters, but ignored him. A hostile storm raided the stage erected by Fenon Events of Steve Jean, rendering a Gwanga Mujje Concert flop. Thereafter, the concert was reportedly postponed. Like any other African events, the blame was put on various individuals, but with no such info.
