Voters Milk Workers MPs dry

By Angela Nyakuni

The voting of Uganda’s Workers MPs was an epitome (a perfect example) of voters bribery in the just concluded elections.

A source who preferred anonymity has told The Drone Media that lucky voters, who participated in the workers MPs elections, will definitely erect buildings if they don’t engage in Ntagali acts given wads of cash they milked from the would be Workers MPs.

With evidence on mobile money cash-outs; The Drone Media can exclusively and authoritatively report that all the candidates who eyed the workers MPs seats, dished out wads of cash to the voters.

The incumbent workers MPs built a syndicate coalition against new comers after they had dried up their wallets and money bags at Kabuli SS, where the polling was.

Hon. Arinaitwe Rwakajara, Hon. Charles Bakabulindi and Margaret Rwabushaija, reportedly distributed money through mobile money, but at a certain time; they ran out of cash and cried out that Sam Amanyire; who they thought was from State House, was finishing them.

Dr. Obuku Ekwaro and Abdul Byakatonda were also among the candidates who reportedly showed financial muscles. Unfortunately, Dr. Obuku failed while Byakatonda, who is rumoured to have used the influence of his wife; the State Minister of Local Government; went through.

Abdul Byakatonda was marking his third time standing as a workers’ MP. Thank God he went through.

The Drone Media saw one of these candidates at a one Katende; a kafuna/loan shackle; borrowing sh80 millions. The candidate staked his land title of his home of about sh800 millions.  Katende, after interrogating this candidate; entered his  White Toyota  V8 and came back limping with a pregnant cotton hand bag of money.  The Kafuna man; Katende did not count, but simply handed the wads to the candidate one by one. They were 16 wads of money in sh50,000 denominations.
