Sam Amanyire blows sh300 cash

By Staff Reporter

The Drone Media has learnt and established that veteran journalist  Sam Amanyire blew sh300 cash at the recent concluded workers MPs elections held at Kibuli Secondary School.

Amanyire who worked as a correspondent journalist for The Daily Monitor, based in Bushenyi Region in western Uganda; reportedly runs a chain of micro finance kiosks in Kyenjojo. He naively dipped his hands into his business only to blow cash for no good reasons.

In fact, he caused unrest among the incumbent workers MPs who included Dr. Sam Lyomoki; Hon. Charles Bakabulindi and Hon. Arinaitwe Rwakajara; who later convened a meeting and were overheard saying, ” There is a man called Sam Amanyire who has come from ‘State House’ with bags of money. He is giving out wads of money to voters.” The incumbents panicked to their bone marrow; they were very scared.

However, the non-unionized veteran journalist Sam Amanyire, miscalculated. He missed a target and gave out money to voters who were double edged; the 150 voters ate the money and did not vote for him.

The story is, Amanyire parked his white V8 Toyota strategically at Kibuli SS and the occupants in the car would give each voter sh500,000 to pick the balance sh500,000 immediately after casting the ballot.

Amanyire was lucky; the incumbents had connived with corrupt police officers to arrest him for bribing voters, but it did not materialize quickly.  This was going to happen because there was evidence; even some of the double edged voters, who had shared his money were ready to pin Amanyire. This gossip circulated around Kibuli SS, where the voting took place and many people got videos and photos that showed people in his car giving money.

It is a pity how someone can pick up about sh400m from his business to blow it without a strategy.
