Zaake is on the queue of NUP weddings

It has come to public’s notice that members of National Unity Platform (NUP) have abandoned the struggle. They instead, opted for what is known as NUP weddings.

As you read this, Hon Francis Zaake has declared he is soon walking down the aisle his long time fiancé, Bridget Zaake Namirembe.

However, for Hon Francis Zaake, it is exceptional; he may be right because every time the Mityana Municipality member of parliament has a run-in with security, the bloody price he pays does not stop at him; it permeates to the people he loves and lives with.

One of those people is Bridget Ndagire Namirembe, his wife of more than six years. The other is Mukungu John Dallan Zaake, the six-year-old son the couple shares. When Zaake is in hospital, Namirembe too is in hospital looking after him. For the days he stays off radar in the hands of security, it is Namirembe who spends sleepless nights praying for his safety. This could be one of the prices, Hon Francis Zaake is Paying to his beautiful wife, Bridget Zaake. Le the honourable exchange vows and walks down the aisle.

Early last year, 2020 Hon. Francis Butebi Zaake and wife Bridget Namirembe welcomed a new member in their family. The youthful couple announced the birth of a baby girl whose names were not revealed.

“Welcome to the world, little one! I am so thrilled that you’re here!” read Zaake’s post on his official social media platforms.

In his announcement of the fresh bundle of joy, Zaake did not hesitate to at least go political while thanking Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Kyagulanyi on checking on them.

“In a special way I wish to thank you, the First Lady to the 10th President of Uganda for checking on us. May God bless us,” he said. Zaake and Namirembe are not officially married but besides the newly born baby, they also have a four-year-old son. Therefore, the couple qualify for a wedding though it has now become NUP Wedding.

Now, for the last two weeks, core members of NUP, including Ali Bukenya alias Nubian Li and Michael Mukwaya alias Mikie Wine, have organized separate glamorous NUP weddings that involved  introduction and wedding ceremonies, which left Ugandans talking.

There are many questions coming in basing on these NUP weddings. People are asking, why are these chaps rushing to organize weddings? Are they competing with time flame?

Well, you should know that the struggle to change the current government is in jeopardy and the chaps have relaxed. While Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana are cooling in Kigo Prison; the NUP chaps have opted for pleasure.

what is obvious is that these chaps can no longer chant their slogans like, “Dictator must go!” They used colleagues and have now dumped them.

While musician Ali Bukenya alias Nubian Li got wedded to his long-time lover Salha Mutoni. The merry-making event happened at Kibuli Mosque in Kampala before hosting their guests at Silver Springs, Lugolobi; among the many guests that graced the glamorous event was Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament, Francis Zaake.

In videos that have been circulating on social media, Zaake seemed to have had fun at the ceremony as he danced whenever he felt like it.

It is shortly after the event that Zaake hinted at the wedding of his baby mama Bridget Ndagire Namirembe. He said Nubian Li’s wedding is enough inspiration for him to do the same.

“My President Bobi Wine was the first, my Vice president Nubian Li has also held his beautiful wedding now I am next,” excited Zaake said.

Zaake and his baby mama have been together for more than seven years. The couple has two sons and a daughter together.

Who is Francis Zaake?

When Francis Zaake was born on January 12, 1991, little did anyone around him anticipate he would be a main character in the county’s high-stake and tragic political drama. But Zaake’s strong will and desire to go his own way manifested early in life.At a tender age when most students would gladly go by their parents dictates, little Zaake forced his parents to shift him from St Lawrence Secondary School at Lubaga in Kampala, to Modern Secondary School in Mityana, where he completed his Ordinary Level education. But Zaake also set himself early on the path of student leadership.

Education background
His father, Mr Emmanuel Butebi, says Zaake started his primary education in Mityana, enrolling at Butebi Primary School, and later joining Fairway Primary School in Kampala, where he was elected class captain, and later school head boy.

At St Lawrence S.S., Zaake’s earlier leadership paid off as he was again elected prefect and one of the leaders of Nkobazambogo, a popular Buganda youth wing grouping.

Leadership roles
Zaake carried his student leadership to Maryland High School, Kigungu in Entebbe, where he completed his Advanced level education. Here he went a ladder higher, serving as president of Nkobazambogo.

By the time he became Member of Parliament for Mityana Municipality, 27-year-old Zaake was a second year student at Ndejje University, Kampala campus, and also its students’ guild president.

“In fact he only completed his third year in Procurement and Logistics Management course when he was one-year old in the Parliament of Uganda,” says his father, a city businessman and one of the richest people in Mityana.
Zaake graduated in October 2016.

MP Zaake is also known for his openhandedness to needy students, the sports fraternity and places of worship across denominations. He is also a regular contributor in weddings.
