President Yoweri Museveni has today, December 31, 2020 explained that Zebra Ssenyange was killed by security. He, however, stated that he was investigating circumstances under which he was killed, yet he was doing a good job of teaching Ghetto children how to do jobs to earn a living.
The president said he had thought that Ssenyange was killed by a criminal group. This criminal group is the one The Drone Media, had mentioned herein.
There is a criminal group of thugs that named themselves “Kampala Mobile Killers Association” that is available for hire and has same style of killing, whose style was exhibited on Zebra Ssenyange.
Surprisingly, the group is known among the security circles. You just need to know how the person was killed and that gives you the identity of the killers. Just like all criminal activities in the country are identified by area and style; these killers are hired to kill and even you pay them loads of money if they have come for you, they will murder you.
President Museveni states:
When I heard of the unfortunate death of Isaac Ssenyange alias Mando Zebra, Uganda’s boxer and former captain of the Bombers. I telephoned his wife who narrated to me the events in detail.
Zebra was an NRM supporter, and was mobilizing for us so well. He was also training many youth in the ghetto and giving them hope in their search for meaningful life.
Indeed, Zebra was meant to come and see me when he was killed.
Zebra’s wife told me people in police uniform came to pick Zebra but he jumped over the wall and could have met another group who shot him.
At first I thought they were thugs disguising in uniform, but as I continued investigations, I found out that Zebra was killed by security personnel.
This is sad and devastating and I AM VERY SORRY about this. I will keep on this case and will bring every finding to the knowledge of his family and the murderers will be dealt with accordingly. I AM SO SORRY.
Uganda Police Force through Asp Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy PRO KMP, said the territorial Police in Kawempe were investigating this suspected murder case, where by a one Zebra Ssenyange, a boxer and resident of St. Francis Zone, Bwaise III Parish, was shot dead.
According to eyewitnesses, they allege that the deceased was picked from his home on 30/12/2020 at around 1am in the morning by unidentified assailants, not known in number.
They were travelling in two vehicles. He was later shot 400 meters away from his home and he died instantly. The area police responded and have already documented the scene. Crucial pieces of evidence and cartridges have been recovered from the scene. The body of the deceased was taken to City mortuary Mulago for a post mortem.
Our task team of intelligence and investigating officers have started the process of building on the evidence collected with an aim of identifying the assailants behind the murder of Zebra. More details will be communicated as investigations progress.
Well, The Drone Media has learnt that the “Kampala Mobile Killers Association” always help settle land disputes, disagreements in marriages and relationships; business rivalries etc
If there was a known dispute in the deceased’s family it will be very easy to trace the killers and their intention. All in all, the killers are known by authorities.
