Oyesigye Fred stands tall in the Ministry of Health
Oyesigye Fred is a Public Health Specialist/ regional supervisor in the Ministry of Health, currently in Hoima District.
He holds a Masters degree in Public Health (Makerere University).
He holds Bachelors of Science Health Administration Second Class Upper (Honours) obtained from International Christian Medical institute (Uganda Christian University).
He also holds a post graduate Diploma in Health Administration,(Uganda Christian University).
He has a National Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from the (School of Clinical Officers (Fort portal), a Certificate in Administrative Law (Law Development Centre) Kampala and Management of Rural Health Facilities respectively.
He has done short courses in Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS, Promotion of Access to Rational Use of Artemisinin therapy, Management of malaria in pregnancy, Mental Health, Eye Care Treatment, Ear, Nose &Throat care (ENT), Integrated Management of Childhood Illness and Blood transfusion.
He has taken course on Infection prevention and control, Drugs and Financial Management, Data generation, utilization and Management of Health at Sub District level.
He is involved in Supervision, Control and Regulation of practices of Health Professionals in Uganda. Besides he is a researcher in Maternal and Child Health, has published journals on child hood routine immunization/dropout rates, and Intermittent Preventive Treatment of malaria in Pregnancy.
He has headed Min-hospitals of Rwekubo, Nyamuyanja,and Rugaaga in Isingiro District from 1999-2012.
He was a district supervisor of integrated management of Childhood illness (IMCI-MOH), District Malaria Focal Person Isingiro district.
He has participated in quarterly regional and national planning meetings and workshops. In 2001 was awarded a letter of exemplary performance by Mbarara District Local Government as the best in_charge.
In 2015 he was awarded the same certificate by Allied Health Professionals council (Ministry of Health) as the best employee of the year and one of the dependable managers in Uganda. He is officially married with eight children.
