Baganda stop Barbra Itungo from limelight

You might be wondering why Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi is no longer appearing on the various media platforms as she did shortly after her husband’s arrest and detention last month when she publicly came out and lied to the entire nation about the state of her husband being so ill to the extent she alleged that all his organs were shutting down his kidney was damaged, and he would need a transplant. Wonder no More.

I am told the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament has stopped his wife, Barbra Itungo from accepting any media interviews or addressing any press conferences.

Insiders say that Bobi Wine was told by his brothers and other hard core associates especially from Buganda region to limit his wife from appearing to play a major role in his political activities because of her Kinyarwanda background.

Bobi Wine’s advisers also claim that if he allows Barbra Itungo to project her image, it would reportedly weaken his political appeal amongst hardcore Baganda.

That he was given an example of former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi whose wife was seen to be politically stronger than her husband.

That hard core chauvinist Baganda, would prefer Bobi Wine having another wife who is from his tribe (a Muganda) in order to have more followers from the region since they see Barbie as a sympathizer of the current government.

Indeed, Barbra Itungo has not been seen addressing the media in the recent past, something that seem to be as a result of the sentimental concern.

Barbra Itungo, who is actually more articulate than her husband had even attracted international media but she has since taken a back seat.

Despite the fact that Bobi Wine addressed his press conference at his home in Magere in Wakiso District, his wife was not seen around her husband, as it would have been the case before the latest development.

Unbelievable, Kinyarwanda or Munyarwanda or Banyarwanda are legally recognized tribe in Uganda, this is a very weak line of reasoning.

Much as I don’t believe in the same ideology with Wine family, discriminating someone on tribal basis is so weak and selfish.

God forbid if tomorrow by the saddest luck of this country, Bobi Wine becomes President, will that be the line of reasoning of his advisers?

Come-on guys.NRM government addressed and fought tooth and nail to do away with such mindsets,

Shame on those who discriminate Barbra Itungo because of her background.
