Gen Mugisha Muntu officially emerges

‘New Formation’ to be launched before 25th December 2018, according to former FDC President Gen. Mugisha Muntu.

According to Muntu, the departure of some opposition members from FDC is in good faith and he believes that it is beneficial to both FDC and those leaving the party.

“If handled well, this could be greater cooperation for opposition.” He also adds that without truth and justice, “One Uganda, One people” cannot be achieved.

“We have given FDC leaders room to do everything possible to achieve their objectives. If I was a mole I would have stayed in FDC and destabilise it. Integrity is one of my biggest values of existence as a human being…there is nothing I have spent more time on than building character. Time is coming when people will know who the real moles are,”  Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.

“I last met Mr Museveni in 2004 when I was a PAFO member…why should I meet him secretly?? If I wanted money or power I would have stayed in NRM because I was at a vantage position as UPDF commander….He gave me a ministry and I declined….I went foward to tell him to stepdown…Imagine an Army Commander telling off the Commander in Chief,” Gen Muntu said during his conference at Hotel Africana.

Gen. Muntu has made a big case to leave. He has said that he wants to give POA to work without hinderance.

I suggest that you focus on building the FDC party and brand and let those who have left to go peacefully.

Don’t attack Muntu or those he has left with. Wish him well and thank him for what he had done.

“Go back to the ground and mobilise,” he said.

One Ugandan had this to say, ‘Believe it or not,,,,FDC is finished because all men of reason have left. It now has one thing in its future,,,,that is closure.”
