Bebe Cool don’t cry

Apparently Bebe Cool was almost shot by one of the indisciplined gunmen in town. This is what he posted on his facebook page:

This man wanted to shoot me after knocking my car, as alot is still unveiling, but we managed to disarm him and he was arrested by a police officer. Later on taken to Ntinda Police Station. I was immediately asked by the police officer to go there and record a statement at the station.

However, on arrival at the station, we found his colleagues had arrived before us; they literally engulfed the station and had put the police officers at gun point .

They ordered me to vacate the premises and nearly shot at me. I had to run to my car and thereafter driver took off. I have been told that the culprit was taken away from the police station by his colleagues. I have made calls to the responsible persons who are the bosses of the indisciplined guy and they are in the know.

Where is the wisdom of Bebe Cool?

Bebe Cool is a supposedly talented musician and  has  probably shaped Uganda’s music scene for decades.

Unlike most musicians who oppose the current government because of excesses, violations of human rights and violence, he sides with these violent men. Bebe has used his talent, expertise and varied resources to publicly promote NRM.

Now  one wonders why Bebe Cool is crying about the unjust violence meted out to him by NRM’s gunman. Even when Bebe took the armed goon who attacked him to the police station in Ntinda, more gunmen encircled the detention facility, freed their gang member and fled without reprisal.

Imagine spending so many years and resources serving such characters who offer no protection from his armed indisciplined security operatives. God is able and just; everyone will witness this impunity.
