Prison ordeal of Pidson Kareire

On Wednesday morning as Chief Investigator of The Drone Media, Pidson Kareire was praying he heard a queer phone call on his mobile phone. Since he knew and had reported it to ISO (Internal Security Organization) and other authorities, he was firm but he did not open the door.

Eventually, he opened a window and saw three people who  told him they were police officers. However, they did not move with any Local Council (LC) when Pidson insisted he would not move out without LC or his lawyer they went and brought LC 1 Chairperson.

Pidson told them to wait for his lawyer but they refused. They wanted to force their way into his house as they had already forced their way through the gate.

The people who claimed were police officers turned out to be Middle East Consultants workers, but they later asked for support from Old Kampala Police Station and that is why Pidson opened and handed himself to police of Old Kampala.

These people claimed they were taking Pidson to Makindye Court, but dropped him at Kabalagala Police Station, where he was tortured whole night. The Cellguard on identified as Kintu ordered the inmate to beat him, he was encouraged by Tom Murangira. This act, actually needs to be investigated by higher authorities.

One wonders why they (MIDDLE EAST CONSULTANTS ) failed to open a police file but chose to use same police to execute warrant of arrest. Besides, They intended to torture Pidson, who had exposed their ill acts. They cheat Uganda’s job seekers as you have been reading stories on this website.

While Pidson was in prison he discovered that one of the directors of Middle East Consultants, started conning job seekers in Rwanda when he was a guard at Ambassador’s resident and Rwandans beat hell out of him and he almost died.

PIDSON KAREIRE’S OBSERVATION AND EXPERIENCE AT POLICE AND KAMPALA REMAND

Well, police cells are hell and it is done intentionally. Authorities and human rights need to visit them so often. They are too congested but still police officers are there to rob Ugandans. They abuse the powers entrusted with them and are there to make money.

Prisons, case in point the Kampala Remand; here they are well organised, but the problem they take prisoners’ properties. The blankets are not given to prisoners yet they are bout by NGOs and posho supplied is not good at all. Details will be published here watch this space.
