Sudhir Rupaleria’s Premier Recruitment Ltd fails to bribe security officers at Entebbe Airport and Kadamas were intercepted

By Angela Nyakuni
Corruption at Entebbe International Airport smells bad. It is this corruption that allows COVID-19 patients into Uganda and later infect innocent citizens.
The pandemic has brought out the issues of corruption to the public with ease.  The recent incident of 40 migrant workers who were thrown out of plane over  fake Covid-19 certificates, is one example. Most travelers through this airport acquire fake certificates and do their business because at the check-points you only need to talk money lingo.
Some of the Kadamas Premier Recruitment Ltd saw off recently
Well, last Sunday security officers at Entebbe International airport removed 40 migrant workers from a Qatar Airways flight just moments before take-off over alleged fake Covid-19 vaccination cards.
The migrant workers all under Premier Recruitment Ltd ( Sudhir Ruparelia’s company), had already boarded but were asked to disembark from the plane that was scheduled to depart at 11 am. The all-female workers were traveling to Saudi Arabia for domestic labour.
A security officer identified as Prima Kalungi reportedly approached the airline crew and said the workers must disembark from the plane because they had presented fake Covid-19 vaccination cards and therefore couldn’t be allowed to leave the country.
As it is, The Drone Media has gathered that Premier Recruitment Ltd failed to give money to security officers, that is why Prima Kalungi went and intercepted the migrant workers. If you have been at Entebbe International Airport; you know that health certificates including yellow fever and Covid-19 certificates are considered first, before you are allowed through migration desks (before being cleared by officials at the entrance you will not be allowed to proceed.
Therefore, this fracas of intercepting migrant workers was an issue of bribery; some officials clashed over bribery. This is so common at the airport; all the security officials in line must be bribed so that the illegal business goes through smoothly.
