Covidex owner Ogwang barred from speaking to press
Last evening Professor Ogwang (the brain behind Covidex) had his NTV show interrupted. I heard someone shout “Are we safe?” And the show went off. Today morning, he had agreed to be hosted on NBS tv Morning Breeze programme only for the tv host Mildred Tuhaise to be told by the aide at the professor’s residence that he had been barred from speaking to the media.
In these times of a global pandemic, I thought it would be highly valued to have a scientist like this one speak to the world on prevention, care, treatment and so on, and particularly if it’s someone who has innovated a herbal medicine that’s proving to be effective against the virus.
Before his show went off last evening, he had talked of the price of Covidex. He said you can’t think of enriching yourself amidst this global crisis and said pharmacies were buying the medicine from his company at Ugx 6000 and said the price in the pharmacy shouldn’t go beyond Ugx 9000. Shockingly, that small bottle has been sold at over Ugx 100,000.
Isn’t there something amiss?
I highly suspect that it’s this evil regime’s mafia that is stopping him from talking to the public so that it can rip big by selling the medicine over 20 times higher than the normal. They are so greedy. They live on witchcraft and serve the devil religiously… I have more fears that they could eliminate him to take over production and start robbing Ugandans as they’ve always done.
This is what he tweeted: “Hey Uganda. I have decided to join this platform to help Uganda give you more information regarding my product Covidex. Let us connect friends. ” Mafias really worked hard to steal his patent rights, but God was on his side. Imagine all the hardships Ogwang went through.
