Former NTV presenter Anita Fabiola has today introduced her future husband and had a”kuhingira”function which is an official give give away ceremony treasured among the Banyankole.

Fabiola’s  longtime fiance known as Mark Robert was first introduced to the the elders and thereafter Kuhingira kicked off.

This is a ceremony where the husband will officially take her wife away from her parents. It should be remembered that towards the end of the year 2022, Mark Robert performed the cultural ritual of”okugamba obugenyi,” where he introduced himself to Fabiola’s parents.

In 2021 Fabiola’s fiance Mark  Robert asked for her hand in marriage in Maldives which she joyful said yes.
The Drone Media has learnt that Fabiola’s kuhingira has cost Mark a lot, he has poured “body”. Decoration alone is sh80m.

Earlier, sources had said that the event would be held in Kanungu, the place Fabiola hails from. Fabiola’s father, Mathias Mugisha is a veteran photo-journalist, who, in early 2000 exhausted stories about The Kanungu Massacres. In short, Mugisha was the Kibwetere reporter.  Mugisha and Kibwetere stories are compatible.

Well, back to Fabiola’s Kuhingira ceremony it started last December, when Mark visited Fabiola’s parents in a traditional ceremony known as “Okugamba Obugyenyi”. 

The covert ceremony was attended by only invited guests.

“Okugamba Obugyenyi” is a KInyankore tradition where the bridegroom and his parents, relatives, visit the bride’s parents to let them know that they want to marry their daughter.

The couple has been dating for over four years, and in 2021, Mark proposed to Fabiola in the Maldives.

Fabiola’s elegant decor was done by ICandy and  is for the books. She kept it simple and neat. The function that is happening right now at Lweza, Entebbe has seen Kampala’s crème de la crème witness the official introduction of Mark to Fabiola’s parents. Fabiola is gone!
