Golfers advance to Round 16 at Singleton Challenge

The 31 golfers advanced to Round 16 of the breathtaking Singleton Match Play Golf Challenge tournament at Entebbe Club on Saturday.
Timothy Mwandah and Ssubi Kiwanuka, advanced to the next stage after beating the pair of Edwin Tabaro and George Nkya 4-3.
The lady pair of Wendy Angudeyo and Doreen Mwesigye beat Dr Peter Apell and Andrew Baguma 6/4 Oscar Semawere and Marvin Kagoro where 2-1 winners over Robbins Mweheire and Dr
Twinemanzi.
Conrad Odere and Moses Mukiibi advanced 2 up against Caroline Namutebi and Judith Komugisha. A total of 222 golfers took part in Season IV of this golf tournament that brings golfers from various clubs in the country.
The next round will be held in April after the Easter Week.
Paul Kalemba and Faith Namara were 4-3 winners over Greg Patterson and Hercules Nicholas. Anthony Ndegwa and Dianah Nabalirwa were 2-1 winners over Josef Salani and James Eyul.
The tournament is sponsored by Uganda Breweries under their luxury brand Singleton Whisky other co-sponsors include CBA Group, DStv Uganda, Victoria Motors, Serena Hotels, RwandAir, Pinnacle Security, Marsh, HTC Hub, Street Club Entebbe and Ekspreso Womera.
At the same time 16 professionals advanced to the last 16 after going through their qualifiers that a total of 27 players taking part.
