Police Officers on Katebe over Power King Hotel

Two police officers have reportedly been placed on Katebe over Power King Hotel and Bar at Munaku in Kampala.

The officers affected include former OC of Kawala Police Station and his counterpart of Kasubi Police Post.  According to information streaming in to The Drone Media news desk, the police officers failed to stop Power King Hotel and Bar from working.

Power King Hotel and Bar is situated at Munaku in Kampala. However, the management of the Power King Hotel, has over time defied Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS).

The bar has been operating normally to the full house, yet all other bars in Kampala are assumed  closed. This surprised many Ugandans.  While most bars remained closed; the Power King Hotel and Bar was always packed, revelers did not observe SOPS.

This kind of situation raised questions among Ugandans and at a certain time; actually one night this year, security officers clashed over it.  One group came and ordered for the closure while another group allowed the management to open.

Power King Hotel and Bar operates a Health Club (steam, sauna and massage), Accommodation and a bar on the basement.  With an accuse of being a hotel, the management has always taken an advantage to run the bar business while breaching the SOPs.

Recently, revelers in sauna and steam were taken by surprised; police officers stormed the premises and it was a mess. Women and men hid in toilets, while others were seen wearing women’s knickers as they panicked.

With the above background; The Drone Media has been informed that police officers in charge of the area were found guilty; having been compromised by the management of Power King Hotel. As a result, they were recalled to Police Headquarters at Naguru, where; the source tells The Drone Media, they are redundant (on Katebe) not deployed,.
