By Correspondent
One person has died and three others critically injured after the bursting of the Sauna in which they were warming themselves.
The incident happened at the Experience Inn at Kayunga in Wakiso town council, Wakiso district.
The dead was only identified as Herbert who was said to be one of the workers at Experience inn.
Herbert was badly hit by the walls which fell on him after the bursting of the sauna and his body was retrieved by the police which responded very late according to the residents.
The powerful bursting of the sauna left the community in great fear and it even damaged one of the roofs of the building.
According to one of the residents identified as Joseph Gumula, the injured people were some of the customers who were inside the sauna by the time it went off.

“The three people who were inside the sauna were taken away I think to hospital but they were also critically injured because I saw one of them bleeding from the mouth and I do not know whether they will survive,” said Gumula.

Gumula who identified himself as one of the great friends of Herbert, revealed that the day before the incident, he had advised him to stop working there.

He revealed that despite the President’s closure of saunas, Experience inn has been open and work going on normally regardless of the lockdown.

However, the injured customers had not yet been identified by press time.

Helped by the residents, the police retrieved the body that was squeezed between halls and loaded it on to the police patrol car and took it to Mulago referral hospital for further management.

The management of Experience inn went into hiding making it very hard to get them for a comment about the incident.
