Middle East Consultants cheats migrant workers

One of the the labour exporters in Uganda known as Middle East Consultants is cheating Uganda’s job seekers.

The Muyenga based Middle East Consultants; The Drone Media has established, runs fake adverts announcing non-existing contracts, which aim at enriching the directors while cheating job seekers. The fake adverts attract very many gullible job seekers and Middle East Consultants harvests mobs in terms of money.

According to the investigations carried out by The Drone Media; Gordon, one of the three directors, who acts as the Managing Director, connives with Samuel Kakande of Synagogue Church on Makerere Kavule, they pass out those fake adverts in the church.

After church mobs of desperate and gullible job seekers flock Middle East Consultant’s premises, where they are robbed clean.

The recent advert was about contracts in China; which they (Middle East Consultants) claimed they had 800 jobs varying from teachers to hotel workers and computer wizards.

The Drone Media has established that the contracts were non existing. It was/is their trick they use to cheat job seekers and they have used it for years. Remember the saga of nurses? They lied that they had contracts for nurses and took away their money yet there were no jobs. The nurses rioted but they were silenced by bribes and confusion.

The truth is that as soon as they announce these fake contracts , gullible clients (job seekers) flock Middle East Consultants’ premises for interviews.  Each client pays sh210,000 for registration before the interview and sh210,000 by 1,000 clients who attend interviews it totals to billions, in fact, it is sh2.1bn in one sitting!

The Drone Media has also established that Middle East Consultants presents fake returns to Uganda Revenue Authority (URA). The drones followed up the accounts section of the company and established that accountants are kept in the darkness, they are only given what to present. If you want refund or sell something to Middle East Consults, it is one of the directors that will pay you. They later tell you, ‘go and they write you a receipt.’ This is a sign of crooked financial system.

A part from announcing fake job contracts in church; they take uncleared job seekers, who go using visit visas( Tourist Visas). These are especially those with question marks. Many of these are sick cannot be allowed in companies so these cheats play the dirty games.

in fact, recently they were sabotaged at the airport and they made a great loss in re-booking for the whole group they were exporting. They had put uncleared job seekers and competitors tipped security at the airport but they later overcame by bribing but it was a loss.

Sadly, they intentionally accept money for many people without job contracts and make them wait for years. When it is too much clients come to ask for refund but they become arrogant and violent. They resort on harassing job seekers who frequent their premises to ask their refund or the way forward.

As a result, Gordon, the Managing Director; acquired an illegal star black pistol. He also moves with military escorts in civilian closes yet he is not a soldier.

“The Middle East Consultants are way too much arrogant and behave in a dictatorial manner,” says Kaliba Asaph, one of the clients who has spent a year waiting for a job.

They thrive on lies that the company is for the “big people in government. Many allege that it belongs to Hon Kahinda Otaffire because a one Kyalimpa, a worker of Middle East Consultants, who normally escorts job seekers to the airport, resembles Otafiire like a shilling.

However, it is not true. The Drone Media has established that Kyalimpa is not related to Otafiire; the two don’t know each other though they are from west Ankole. Besides, the company belongs to three persons who have become liars and cheats. They are Fred, Gordon and Wilbroad.
