Moses Kirunda a prisoner arrests Hon Rukaari

Ugandans are still shocked how a controversial court bailiff Moses Kirunda who was charged with murder and imprisoned managed to arrest Hon Robert Rukaari Mwesigwa.

As if that was not bad enough, Hon Rukaari had reportedly paid sh720m of the sh600m loan as Kafuna/loan shackle.

Well, the controversial court bailiff Moses Kirunda is back in the news, ever more with controversy surrounding his mode of operation. The Mabarara City North Member of Parliament, Robert Rukaari Mwesigwa has reportedly  written to police and the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, asking for  intervention as in how did Moses Kirunda get involved  in his questionable arrest on March 1.

On the afternoon of August 16, 2021 the infamous Court Bailiff Moses Kirunda was arraigned before the Makindye Magistrates Court on charges of murder of business man Mugwanya Magid and was remanded to Kitalya Prison.

It was alleged that on the fateful day, 14th /07/2021 at around 21:30 hours at Lungujja-Kitunzi zone along Lungujja Road a vehicle said to belong to Kirunda Moses parked on the left side of a motor vehicle (Harrier Pearl – white in colour, UBG 466A).

The bailiff plus two other men who included one dressed in a police camouflage uniform, armed with a gun went to the harrier vehicle. They called the occupant of the harrier vehicle to get out but he resisted and in a bid to force him out, a scuffle ensued and shortly bullets were fired. The shooting led to the death of Mugwanya Magidu who succumbed to gunshot injuries.

The persons involved in the scuffle that resulted into the shooting were; Kirunda Moses, CPL Tibaijuka Apollo (armed with AK 47 gun), Major Nelson Mark Kyatuuka (armed with a pistol), Abdurahaman Abdallah (occupant of harrier) and the deceased (Mugwanya Magid).

He who was on the run, was promptly tracked down by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the police. He was charged with murder. How he came out to involve himself in another scandrous act is a question of the day!
