Stella Nyanzi meets Eric Obua

I was busy trying hard not to get lost in a new part of Amsterdam city, when a happy healthy handsome hunk hollered my name! I looked up and saw a smiling young thing swaggering up to me. I smiled back, uncertain.

“Stella Nyanzi, the real Stella Nyanzi in the flesh,” he screamed like a fan meeting his cherished celebrity.

I was shy; blown away by this young happy energy. He knew me. I did not know him. I was embarrassed!

“I am Eric Obua,” he announced and held out his manicured hand for a firm shake.

“Should I know you?” I blurted out.

“Eric Obua, the footballer. I play for the Ugandan national team,” he continued.

My mind drew a complete blank. Shame! I told him I would ask my sons about him because they play football but I don’t. I asked what he was doing in Amsterdam. He told me he plays football and also studies. I wished him well and asked for a selfie. He obliged.

And then he bounced away just like that – bounced away into the heart of Amsterdam city. I was left feeling good about life. Happy healthy handsome hunks who holler in a friendly manner, introduce themselves and take selfies with me are a gift!

During a recent interview, the celebrated sumbie vendor (Bad Black) revealed how she refused to give Eric Obua access to her sumbie after she discovered that her cassava was not sharpened.

According to Bad Black, this happened about eight years when they were always hanging out at some of Kampala’s finest spots. Shortly before she was arrested over embezzlement and sent behind bars. “We were in a room ready to romp. When he undressed, I figured he is not circumcised. That’s the point when I told him I wasn’t not going to sleep with him,” Bad Black confessed.
