The Holy Spirit warns people who declare themselves as kings

By Staff Writer

You have heard people declaring themselves presidents, claiming irregularities in the process of worldly democracy. Now, the Holy Spirit warns them. The spirit of the Lord says this is not new; it happened during King David’s reign.

The Bible in the 1 King 1: 5-30 reveals how Adonijah son of David’s wife known as Haggith exalted himself, saying, I the eldest living son will be king. And he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen, with fifty men to run before him.

Yet David his father had never in his life displeased him by asking, why have you done so? He was also a very attractive man and was born after Absolom. He conferred with Joab son of Zeruiah, David’s half sister and with Abiathar the priest, and they followed Adonijah and helped him.

But Zadok the priest, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and David’s mighty men did not side with Adonijah.

The Bible says that while Adonija partied, did not invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, the mighty men of David, and Solomon his brother. Then Nathan said to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, reigns and David our lord does not know it?

Bathsheba went in to the King and reported this matter. The King took an oath and said, ” who has redeemed my soul out of all distress, even as i swore to you by the Lord, the God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead-even so will i certainly do this day.

Mbu, King David ordered  his servants to immediately crown King Solomon. All the people supported King Solomon, they played pipes and rejoiced greatly, so that the earth resounded with joyful sound.

The Bible says that when Adonijah and his stooges heard the uproar they became agape! They were told that the kings servants came to congratulate him.

Solomon said, “If he will show himself to be a worthy man, not a hair of him shall fall to the ground; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die.”

Now, the Holy Spirit reveals it to you that a king/president  does not declare himself. He is chosen by God and if anyone becomes wicked he will die.
