Unemployment made it in the top 10 news topics on google as millions of people remain jobless.

Singer Taylor Swift has been named as Google’s most-searched for woman in music of 2020. The search engine honoured International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 08 by sharing their data surrounding the most looked-up women on the Internet, reports The Drone Media.
According to Google, Swift topped the list of searches among women in music, while tennis player Serena Williams was the most-searched for female athlete.
Actress Awkwafina was the most searched-for woman in comedy, and novelist Toni Morrison was the most-searched for female author.
Meanwhile, searches for “songs about girl power” have reached an all-time high in America, while queries about “women’s empowerment” have increased by more than 330 per cent in the US since 2004.
“Coronavirus” and “election results” were the top two global searches overall and the top two news searches of 2020, and President-elect Joe Biden was the most–searched person. Searches for “stimulus check” and “unemployment” also made the top 10 news topics as millions of people remain jobless.
However, in the year 2019; searches in Uganda were different; ever since the year began, a lot of things happened in the due course of the year and since Google is the number one search engine giant, it verified the most Ugandan celebrities who were most searched in 2019.
Therefore, on the Google list, the youngest viral small rapper Fresh Kid Fresh Kid was the most googled celebrity that year, 2019 and his breakthrough in the music industry came earlier that year after dropping a viral free style on social media. Indeed for a very short period, he managed to achieve a lot including a full bursary from Ruparelia foundation to study at Kampala Parents School.
The second most searched artiste on Google is the vocalist John Blaq who has won many people’s hearts and witnessed his energy at Freedom City some time ago. The singer was persistently in the music business for two years then. If you talked of the most unique voices in the industry, you could not forget him.
Lastly, the Social Media entertainer Martha Kay won the third position following her nude pictures that leaked in public to the extent of even hiding away. Though all that happened, she received a thorough counseling and at that time, she was doing well.
