The Kampala capital city authority (KCCA) Director of Education Miss Juliet Namuddu is restless after petitions seeking her investigations and probe were filed at both the IGG and Education service commission.

Namuddu is accused of  incompetence and bad track records.

Namuddu is being put under fire by some school head teachers, teachers and parents over policy issues and more especially on the Universal Primary Education program (UPE) accusing her of inventing her own style of work.

In a dossier to the IGG and Dr Violet Kajubiri vice chairperson to the Education service commission dated 12th November, also copied to the public service ministry and ministry of Education.

Namuddu is accused of absconding from the teaching service at Kitante Primary school in 1995 and went for kyeyo.

“On behalf of teachers and parents of Kampala district, I am bringing this complaint so that you can intervene and save the delivery of education in the city.

How can a person abscond for 20 years and then brought back and given a promotion? Its against the teaching policy , law does not allow people who abandon work to be recruited again in to service” the document reads in part.

Namuddu was also accused of telling lies to KCCA over her track records.

“When Ms Namuddu left service , she was a classroom teacher but she was recruited on promotion as a Director. She has never been a deputy, a head teacher or an inspector or an education officer in government service” the letter continued.

Over the weekend rumor was rife that she was facing interdiction.

But when contacted Deputy PRO, KCCA , Mr Robert Kalumba said namuddu was in office doing her work.

A senior KCCA official said that Namuddu seem to have multiple people who know her history and want it brought it to light.
