Angella Katatumba’s twin brother Rugiirwa Katatumba sent to Kitalia over debts

Singer Angela Katatumba’s twin brother Rugiirwa Katatumba was today sent remanded to Kitalia Mini-maximum Prison over a sh 120m loan ne reportedly obtained from Prime Finance Company.
However, it is obvious that people who masterminded his arrest wanted him to sleep in prison throughout the weekend since there would be no time to secure production warrant until Monday.
Chief magistrate’s court on Buganda Road has today charged and remanded Rugirwa Katatumba for obtaining credit by false pretense.
In 2019, Rugirwa appeared before Grade One Magistrate Stella Maris Amabilis as a state witness in the case Mukesh was facing 13 charges of forgery, uttering a false document and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Prosecution alleged that Mukesh and others still at large forged documents for the official handover of Hotel Diplomat.
Rugirwa Katatumba told court that he had never appended his signature on the documents authorizing Mukesh to take over Hotel Diplomat.
Shukla was then accused of forging the signatures of the family members of Katatumba including Annie Grace Katatumba, Angella Katatumba, Ian Katatumba, Bonny Katatumba and Rugirwa Katatumba. Mukesh allegedly did so on April 17th, 2015 and November 2017 saying that the Katatumbas had officially authorized him to take over Hotel Diplomat.
The son of the late Bonny Katatumba, Rugiirwa Katatumba denied selling Hotel Diplomat to Shumuk Investments Limited Director Mukesh Shukla.

Mukesh forged the documents on April 17th, 2015 and November 2017 indicating that Katatumba family had authorized him to take over Hotel Diplomat.
However, an independent source has revealed to The Drone Media that this is a case that is suspected to have caused the death of Katatumba senior; it is therefore complicated.
