Natinal Unity Platform (NUP) Boss, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has sent his family to USA. At least, this is true. Moments later, the NUP boss gave an excuse that his family was threatened.
However, it is not true. This is because he is not alone in the senseless violent struggle. His colleague’s children are left to suffer the eventualities. This depicts selfishness not patriotism.
Besides, rather than focus on the picture of Kyagulanyi sending off his family to USA, the public should be interested in understanding why there are claims that his friends at the US department of state made that particular recommendation to take them out.
A source in NUP says he was he was advised to send his family out and they might be heading to a US government installation.
The question is, “What do the Americans know that Ugandans don’t know about next week’s election?”
The source also said that they also recommended that he moves to an Embassy after casting his vote.
Basing on those sort of recommendations, is there something you do not know that you need to know? Is there anything that you need to be prepared for?
It is obvious that Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi is trying to work out scenarios. This is a plan to enjoy Mzungu money. After elections, he will easily follow his family with an excuse of election rigging. He will probably ask for refugee status and bask in free dollars in the US.
Surprisingly, the gullible supporters take it for granted.  These supporters are possessed; the demons of violence and want for change have blinded them. No NUP supporter would want to hear the truth.
Anyway, Uganda should strive hard to have peaceful elections, irrespective of the outcome. There is  a general feeling that President Museveni is winning, but opposition has been promising plan B. There is something going on that needs vigilance.
