Chief of Defense Forces David Muhoozi tells Ugandans to relax

The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen. David Muhoozi has asked Ugandans to go about their daily business because their safety is guaranteed by the UPDF.
The quiet composed amiable soldier tweeted on Monday night, following a series of cyber threats from opposition groups in and out of the country warning of a looming anarchy on the streets of all major towns in Uganda.
The chaos, according to these faceless groups which pledge allegiance to Robert Kyagulanyi’s NUP is a response to allegations of rigged election by the regime.
Kyagulanyi, the NUP presidential candidate scored 35% and has since filed a Court petition seeking to overturn the results.
“These messages going around, threatening Ugandans are contemptible. Ignore them. We will defend you. Go about your business. Your safety is guaranteed,” said Gen. Muhoozi on his Twitter page.
Meanwhile Deputy PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire has revealed that Deus Tumuhimbise is a fake dollar scammer.
ASP Owoyesigyire says, “we have seen a post circulating on social media alleging that a one Tumuhimbise Deus alias Deus_Firebase has been missing and was last seen during the late Frank Senteza’s burrial . This is not true that he is missing , Deus was arrested on January 7th 2021 on allegations of issuing counterfeit notes of 5100 USD to East Africa Plastic Products Company Ltd located in Mbalala industrial park by Mbalala Police station.”
He said the matter was investigated on Mukono CRB 067/2021 , and forwarded to prosecution for sanctioning , the suspect was later paraded in Mukono Magistrate Court and convicted to 6 months on two counts of ; being in possession of paper or implement for forgery and uttering counterfeit currency.
Section 351 of the Penal Code Act provides that any person who knowingly and fraudulently utters a false document commits an offence of the same kind and is liable to the same punishment as if he or she had forged the thing in question.
