DJ Emma had gathered a massive fan-base

By Manjasi High School OB; DJ Emma had gathered a massive fan-base of many elderly in and around Kampala

The fallen Central Broadcasting Services (CBS) DJ Emma Masege attended Manjasi High School for both his O and A levels (1993 and 1998).

He was resident in Emin House, strategically located to sneak out of the school over weekends to join his elder brother Simon Okware who was operating the Malaba Magic Disco at the border, about three kilometres down the road to Nairobi and Mombasa.

Late DJ Emma

Emma, whose village of origin is in Namutumba district, was after Manjasi to relocate to Kampala and become a DJ in such happening places as Governor, Nyondo Club and the Wallet Pub in Kabusu.

When he joined CBS he immediately gathered a massive fan-base of many people older than him by played oldies music and discussing topics relevant to them. He has been sick of late but just when everybody thought he had fully recovered and was due to return to his addictive show, God thought otherwise. RIP Emma.

News about Dj Emma’s death was like bushfire on Wednesday at around midday. It was DJ Emma’s wife who broke the news, by using his phone to send a message to the radio stations employee WhatsApp group informing them about his death.

The deceased was an employee at CBS fm presenting the evening cruise. He was also a re-known kikadde pioneer who inspired many young djs.

One of his workmates Patriko Mujuuka during an interview said he was good at his job, a perfectionist and a good team player.

A month ago the late lost his daughter which frustrated him so much but he somehow managed to emerge strong.
