Kutesa Kahamba meets Chinese Ambassador over Ugandans in China

Hon Sam Kahamba Kutesa  this morning met with H.E. Zheng ZHUQIANG the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda . The Minister called on the Government of China to urgently intervene and address the plight of Ugandans in China.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon Sam Kahamba Kutesa today Saturday 11th April 2020 met with the Ambassador of China to Uganda His Excellency Zheng Zhuqiang on the matter regarding the situation of Ugandans in China.

During the meeting, Kutesa conveyed the serious concern of the Government of Uganda on the harassment and mistreatment of its nationals living in China calling on the Chinese government to urgently intervene and address the plight of Ugandans in China.

However the Chinese Ambassador Zhuqiang assured Minister Kutesa that China values its relationship with Uganda and other African countries.

Zhuqiang said that the Chinese Government was taking steps to address the matter and undertook to take up the concerns of the Government of Uganda with the relevant authorities in China.

The meeting which was also attended by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb Patrick Mugoya and Uganda’s Ambassador to China, Dr Crispus Kiyonga comes after Foreigners in Some cities of China are being harassed, evicted from houses and hotels with some being denied health care services.

Silver Ahimbisibwe says, “Send Uganda Airlines to China to pick our citizens who want to return home immediately before they die of hunger and cold out there.”

Ukwa Joe says, “Chinese Government is supposed to give us maximum respect and trust coz our country uganda and other African countries are the most and major promoters in their fake poison materialistic made from China and being exported to Africa.How much benefits Chinese Government benefiting from African countries specially in uganda.We shall one day give them a series lessons like what Amin Did to indians.They need to know understand without Chinese being invaded our continent africa life’s where going on well and we where having everything being made within our country.”
