Late Charles Muhangi & enemies

Late Charles Muhangi, his enemies reportedly paid factory workers billions to administer poison in drinks.

Two things stood out in the life of Charles Muhangi; doing business and motor racing. He developed a love for fast cars as his business was growing. Muhangi understood the dynamic world of business since he had ventured into trade as a young man in the turbulent 1970s. Twenty years later, he was dabbling in motorsport when it was at the peak of its popularity in Uganda.

That was the era of the motoring big names like Karim Hirji, Chipper Adams, Charlie Lubega, Emma Katto, and Moses Lumala. Muhangi soon showed that he was not afraid to make bold moves even in an already dare devil sport.  He famously cruised to many podium finishes in his favourite Subaru Impreza 555 that he branded ‘Ekitaguriro’. But his first major break was when he won his first major title; the National Rally Championship in 1998.

He went on to win the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) in 1999 – a record he still holds as the only Ugandan driver who has won it.  He was also the first black African to claim the title.

Still, some were taken back when he made a splash on a rally car; a Subaru, he bought from fellow businessman and rally star Karim Hirji in 2000. A national championship event was drawing close and his Ekitaguriro had broken down. The spare parts he had ordered were delaying to come into the country and some people thought he would lie low. But Muhangi was not one to allow such mishaps make him miss an opportunity to be part of the action.

Cause of his death

His wife told mourners at All Saints Nakasero, that Muhangi suffered from diabetes for 20 years, but it had reached a controllable level. In other words diabetes was no longer a threat to him.  That is why the two, Late Muhangi and his wife argued over the levels minutes before he breathed his last.

The wife said she was going to Gayaza High to pick up their daughter, but before she left, Muhangi who had just returned home complained of dizziness.  As usual the wife looked for a syringe and they measured the level of sugars; but it was abnormally high. The two could not agree on the figures read from the measurements then the wife decided to first go to Gayaza to pick their daughter, but no sooner had she left than Muhangi died.

Today, sources tell The Drone Media, that Muhangi’s foes paid billions to factory workers in Diageo, the manufacturers of John Walker Whisky, to pack a poisoned Black Label bottle, which Charles Muhangi loved at his leisure time. However, this mission failed though money was wasted. The system could not be beaten, the crooks tried and failed.

A cheaper mission, orchestrated by serial criminals in the country worked out. Since Muhangi had declined taking Black Label and was sipping juice; the killers got factory sugars and added into a big package of juice, which they strategically placed in the clubs he always visited.  Actually, he only drunk half of the package of juice, which was highly concentrated with factory sugars.  This added to his chronicle diabetes; the level is what confused him and his wife when they measured. The fools finished Charles Muhangi, but they lost loads of billions trying sophisticated methods of killing him.
